“...run through the jungle”
Trademarks: Typical archetype of the electric guitar sound. Open, sweet tone. Balanced spectrum.
Styles: Rock, blues, rock'n'roll, roots, soul, rockabilly
Retail price: 130 Euros (without VAT) per pickup
The first of our P90-style single models, with medium output. Based on an original 1959 P90 that we are lucky to own. Powerful, yet brilliant typical P90 sound for rockabilly, roots, blues, rock, etc. Smooth attack, sweet response especially on neck position, with full but very balanced bass. Although it represents a typical P90, which was designed for all positions, we recommend using the G90 on neck position since it sometimes sounds a little too skinny on bridge position. In this case, you may prefer a further GAS G Single for bridge position (see recommended combinations below).
Also available in a "Legend" version, with US (T&S) long rough cast A5 bars and AWG 42 Plain Enamel wire.
For all positions. Also available as a matched set with a RW/RP neck pickup.
1. Combine G90 (neck position) with G100 (bridge position) on a dual P90 style guitar and you’ll get our typical P90 set, with traditional tone and dynamics
2. Combine G90 (neck position) with G100 Plus (bridge position) on a dual P90 style guitar and you’ll get a higher output set, with lots of harmonics
*Important Note: The final tonal result will be highly dependent on the user's guitar

For the proper installation and wiring of your GAS Pickups, we strongly recommend letting a professional luthier or electrician perform this job in order for the pickups to be installed correctly and with no damage, which would harm the pickup’s functionality and warranty.
All GAS P-90s are delivered with a soapbar cover (black or cream) proper height adjustment screws (installation on the wood) and springs. However, if you like a dogear version (which is also available), just let us know.
GAS P90s come with the typical single braided hook-up wire. The pickup wiring and phase are compatible with Gibson® P90s and Gibson® humbuckers. P90s have a metal base plate that is grounded on the braided hook-up wire. If you intend to install the GAS P90 with pickups from other brands, please let us know so we may deliver your pickup with a double braided hookup wire. In this case, you will easily swap wires in an out-of-phase case.
For the desired wiring diagram of your guitar, please refer to the dozens of specialized websites with such diagrams, depending on the desired pickup configuration.
Pickup height or string distance
There is a lot of conversation on this item. The fact is, there is no absolute guidance for a generic pickup height adjustment! The distance of a pickup to the strings is dependent on countless factors, such as pickup output, pickup position, string gauge, the guitar itself, the guitarist’s overall playing technique (string hitting, etc.), and the musical styles that are about to be covered. In the case of a pickup set, usually the pickup height is adjusted so all pickups show a similar output level, but this is not a rule. Our recommendation: The desired pickup height adjustment is a procedure that may last longer than you think; just start with a generic distance of 2mm on the e strings and repeat the procedure (adjust, play, listen, re-adjust) until you are satisfied. Don’t forget to adjust in small steps (e.g., one full turn of the height adjustment screw each time) in order to easily come back one step if you are not happy with the new situation. And, trust us, if you just repeat the whole thing a couple of weeks later, you will probably find yourself re-adjusting the height again. It is something that each musician should go through by himself.
GAS P 90s (G90, G100 and G100 Plus) are direct replacements for Gibson® guitars and similar models.
The pickup’s dimensions (including a pickup cover) are as follows (sizes in mm):
What is the recommendation for a typical P90 neck and bridge set?
A good solution is the G90/G100 set. The G90 delivers the typical P90 tone for the neck position. However, typical P90s show a very weak signal when operated in the bridge position. For this reason, we have developed the G100, which delivers a more healthy P90 tone in the bridge position.
Why is there a Legend version for the GAS G (P90) models?
Since the P90 is an archetype of the guitar pickups, we decided to offer it also in a Legend version with the historically most accurate materials (such as Plain Enamel wire), which will ensure the large dynamics range as found in the Legend PAFoids.
